Table of Contents
What is Notion?
Notion is a web-based software that is block-based and allows you to manage projects, take notes, create a to-do list, form databases, etc. It can be used on all your devices as a website or app.
Notion Task Management Template
Now let’s get into the Notion task management template I will be sharing with you guys at the end of this post and all the features/pages included! On top of each page description I will include the breadcrumbs to get to each page in Bold so you can easily find it on your template!
Dashboard
Template Dashboard
This dashboard consists of several other links that lead to other pages of the template and we will get into the details of each page further on. Below the class page links, there is also a weekly calendar in which you can input your class names, times, and locations for each day of the week.
I like to use this space to also input any other weekly events I may have like a part-time job or weekly organization meeting!
Master Assignments
Template Dashboard >> Master Assignments
This is my favorite page of all. The most important thing, in my opinion, is keeping track of all your assignment due dates for each class.
This tracker is color coded so you can easily tell which class each assignment is for and what type it is. It is also organized by the due date so when you check your spreadsheet every day, the assignments with the most recent due date will be up first.
You can also add your own custom categories if you’d like to add one for work or an organization you are involved in!
Weekly HW List
Template Dashboard >> Weekly HW List
This page includes a priority list for any high-priority tasks you would like to pay attention to for the day, lists for each class, and several other lists that you can customize to fit your own needs.
At the bottom of the page, there is also a calendar that links to the Master Assignments database so any changes you make on the “Master Assignments” page will be seen here and vice versa! Linked databases are one of my favorite aspects of Notion as it keeps everything cohesive.
Class Dashboards
Template Dashboard >> Class 1
Each class dashboard has a link for the syllabus, to the class notes, a repetitions page, and a page for you to calculate a grade.
It also consists of a section for any useful resources you may want to add and a linked database to the “Master Assignments” page. Each “Master Assignments” linked database on the class dashboards is filtered out to only show the assignments for that specific class!
Class Syllabus
Template Dashboard >> Class 1 >> Class 1 Syllabus
Each of the class syllabus pages follows a similar format. You can input the information info for each class and paste a PDF file of the syllabus so it is easily accessible!
Class Notes / Resources
Template Dashboard >> Class 1 >> Notes / Resources
Here you can add a file with any notes you might want to keep for each specific class. The table contains information like the chapter the notes are on, when they were created, and whether you have reviewed the notes or not.
Repetitions
Template Dashboard >> Class 1 >> Repetitions
The repetitions page on each class dashboard allows you to implement spaced repetition into your studying!
Spaced repetition is a method of studying that allows you to combat your memory decay. This method is a technique that involves recalling information at the best spacing intervals right before you forget that information.
This page allows you to keep track of your study intervals for each class and study schedule.
Grade Calculator
Template Dashboard >> Class 1 >> Grade Calculator
There’s a Grade Calculator page for each class so you can easily keep track of your grades without having to go onto your school’s webpage.
I did not create this grade calculator page. I simply took this right off of Notion’s provided free templates.
Expenses
Template Dashboard >> Expenses
This page is pretty straightforward and is one that I took off of Notion’s free provided templates as well. It is simply for you to calculate any expenses you may want to keep track of throughout the school year.
